Conference Overview

* IMPORTANT REGISTRATION INFORMATION *

Registration Information:
You are encouraged to register early as we are anticipating a large attendance at this meeting. On the registration form you are asked for lodging and arrival/departure information. Please take the extra minute and complete these areas. This information will allow for better conference facilitation purposes.

The fee for the conference is $25 higher than in 2005. The Lakota Culture and Tribal Land Grant Experience on the Pine Ridge Reservation, Sunday evening dinner and lunch on Monday & Tuesday are included in the registration fee this year, causing the modest increase.

Early Bird Registration-Jan. 01, 2006 thru March 31, 2006- $450.00
Registration April 1 thru April 22, 2006 $500.00
Registrations after April 22, 2006 $550.00

Conference Lodging/Transportation – People mover transportation will be available between the Conference Headquarters and other Conference Hotels at specified times of the day. A specific schedule will be included in your registration packet. 

Participation Awards 2006 – SDSU will be offering special awards for 3 specific conference activities – conference logo contest, name the committee contest and the evaluations make winners.

As the journey begins we are proud to announce some new concepts that will enhance our conference.

Lakota Culture and Tribal Land Grant Experience on the Pine Ridge Reservation formally kicks off the 2006 Administrative Officers Conference.  A Sunday evening dinner back at Conference Headquarters concludes Day 1 activities.

Luncheon meetings on Monday (Regional meeting) and on Tuesday (Special Topics).

University Colors Day - Wednesday May 3, 2006, will be “University Colors Day.” Wear your university or agency apparel and brighten up the day.

Dress Code: Business casual is the preferred dress

Conference Handouts: South Dakota State University-College of Agriculture will offer printing and transportation services for your handout materials. This will allow you to reduce your shipping and handling fees for your materials. CELL PHONE COVERAGE – Please check with your provider on coverage in Rapid City, free long distance, roaming charges etc. You may want to consider alternative communication methods such as prepaid phone cards.
