What is development?
Building partnerships that enhance educational excellence is the development focus for the College of Agriculture and Biological Sciences at South Dakota State University, the state's largest university and its land-grant university. Our college excels in the land-grant mission of teaching, research, and Extension to serve the citizens of our state and region by improving their quality of life through learning, discovery, and application of knowledge. The financial assistance of alumni, friends, and corporations helps the ABS College to achieve excellence in fulfilling this mission and delivering on its motto, Making a Difference.

What is my role as ABS College Director of Development?
My role in the development process is to build and strengthen partnerships between the private sector and the ABS College. I’ll be working with the 12 departments/units in the college, the Agricultural Experiment Stations, and the Cooperative Extension Service to determine what their needs are and how we can use private giving partnerships to fulfill the college's development priorities.

How can you contact me?
Please feel free to contact me at the SDSU Foundation,
1-888-747-SDSU, or by e-mailing me at Craig.Russow@sdsufoundation.org. I would be happy to answer any questions about the development process in the ABS College.
