Honor and Recognition…

Eminent Farmer and Homemaker honorees participate in a banquet where they are publicly introduced before family, friends, neighbors, and admirers and are recognized for their accomplishments.

Portraits of all Eminent Farmers and Homemakers are displayed in the Hall of Honor in Agriculture Hall at SDSU. This is of particular significance. An endless procession of students, relatives, people who work at the university, and others stop to consider the pictures and wonder about the countless stories behind them. Generation after generation proudly acclaim the Eminent Farmer and Homemakers and what they have done. Seeing the Eminent Farmer and Homemaker portraits is to realize inspiration.

Photos of honorees and a summary of their major contributions are published in a book, Eminent Farmers and Homemakers.
