
The National Research Initiative has awarded an SDSU team $499,974 for a four-year study that will evaluate the biological and economic responses to several alternative strategies within beef-cattle production systems in the Northern Great Plains. Team co-directors are Pat Johnson, range scientist, and Ken Olson, Extension beef specialist. Collaborators include Roger Gates, Extension range management specialist, Thandiwe Nleya, Extension agronomist, Scott Fausti, agricultural economist, Marty Beutler, Extension range management specialist, and George Perry, Extension beef reproduction management specialist.
