Steers for State up to 37 steers, over $50,000
AgBio Communications
Thirty-seven steers have been committed to SDSU’s Steers for State program, bringing the program’s total funding to over $50,000.
Steers for State is a program in which volunteers can purchase or donate a calf that is then fed out by volunteers and sold at market weight, with the funds then going to the SDSU Jackrabbit’s Rodeo Team. Steers for State provides funds for SDSU rodeo scholarships, team travel expenses, and recruitment. The annual sale of market-ready steers brings in the main revenues on which the SDSU rodeo team operates.
