The Heifers for State program has generated $7,000 for enhancing dairy research and teaching programs at SDSU.

An animal donated to Heifers for State can be of any age and breed, as long it is a dairy heifer with a pedigree. Donated animals are then sold at the Central Plains Fall Sale at SDSU, with the proceeds being used for such things as dairy facility improvements, research equipment, or dairy judging team support.
