History of Fisheries and Fishing in South Dakota, published in December 2007, is available for free in limited numbers at South Dakota Department of Game, Fish & Parks regional offices, for sale for $10/copy at www.sdgfp.info, an for free via download at wfs.sdstate.edu. The book was edited by SDSU Department of Wildlife and Fisheries Sciences Head David Willis, professor emeritus of wildlife and fisheries Ken Higgins, Department of Wildlife and Fisheries Sciences adjunct associate professor Steven Chipps, and Department of Wildlife and Fisheries Sciences adjunct professor Chuck Berry.
Two other publications, Plants of the Black Hills and Bear Lodge Mountains and Grassland Plants of South Dakota and the Northern Great Plains, both of which were written by SDSU professor emeritus of range science and Extension range management specialist Jim Johnson and SDSU professor of biology Gary Larson, were revised in 2007 and are available for sale only.
